Weight Loss, part 1

Posted: September 5, 2010 in Uncategorized

Let’s scratch the surface on weight loss. Lots of people have lots of ideas and thoughts on this subject and here in America it is one of the top situations people face. Now, I am no doctor, but I have been a personal trainer in two of the national chains. I see these places as being the extremes on both sides of the health industry. I have spoken with many personal trainers, marathon runners, pro-weight lifters, doctors, and health specialists. One thing that I have gotten from every one of them was that health is in a huge way mental. Watch a guy workout, many of them are doing just that. One of the reasons that men lose faster than women mostly do, they are not worried about everyone else or how their day went. Many women I have trained can’t shut their minds off enough. Always worried, stressed or thinking badly about themselves. A bunch of people that don’t “lose weight” also give up. I am not saying everyone, so don’t sit there saying “BananaPhone, that isn’t me. I push myself to the limit.” But if you are the person that gives up…stop it! Get off your perfectly-formed-to-your-butt couch, and get moving. Get happy, love yourself, do something! Being sad makes you lazy. Find your drive. And no more gorging yourself with nasty “comfort food”. That goes for men and women both. No more worshiping the great, all mighty greese soaked tater chips. Yes, I said “tater”.
